Lucas Carvalho, Professional Counselor Associate

Lucas Carvalho, M.A is a trilingual therapist (English, Portuguese, Spanish), musician, translator, and apprentice of indigenous traditions. Originally from Brazil, he earned a B.A. in psychology with specialization in Jungian studies before moving to Boulder, Colorado, where he completed a master’s in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling at Naropa University.

He enjoys working with individuals navigating life transitions and challenges—whether relocating, shifting careers, processing the end of a relationship or simply pursuing personal growth. Recognizing that these changes can bring up anxiety, depression, uncertainty, and grief, he helps clients cultivate resilience, self-regulation, and trust in themselves and others. With deep expertise in meditation and trauma-informed care, he guides individuals toward greater clarity, tranquility, self-love, and the capacity to hold space for their own transformation.

His dedication to the healing arts extends beyond clinical mental health—over the past six years, he has supported retreats as a facilitator, translator, musician, and guardian. Recognized by his elder as a "trusted person," he serves as a cultural bridge, ensuring indigenous traditions are carried forward with autonomy, responsibility, and reciprocity.

During his time at Naropa, Lucas co-led a student group focused on preparation, navigation, and integration, facilitating weekly discussions with experts in the field. He also became a certified meditation instructor and a MAPS-accredited therapist.

Blending ancestral wisdom with a practical, results-oriented approach, Lucas helps clients integrate their experiences into daily life with clarity and purpose. His work is guided by the values of self-love, holistic health, nature’s wisdom, community connection, and multicultural empowerment through service.
