Lucas Carvalho, Professional Counselor Associate
Lucas Carvalho, M.A. is a trilingual therapist working in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. He is also a musician, translator, and apprentice of indigenous traditions. Originally from Brazil, he earned a B.A. in psychology with a focus on Jungian studies before moving to Boulder, Colorado, where he completed a master’s degree in Mindfulness Based Transpersonal Counseling at Naropa University.
Lucas supports individuals navigating life transitions such as relocation, career changes, relationship endings, and periods of deep personal inquiry. He understands that these moments often bring anxiety, depression, grief, and uncertainty. His approach integrates Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, Brainspotting, and trauma informed care to help clients develop self regulation, emotional resilience, and a deeper sense of trust in themselves and others.
With a strong foundation in meditation and transpersonal psychology, Lucas helps clients access clarity, inner stability, and self compassion while honoring the spiritual and symbolic dimensions of healing. His work invites clients to gently explore unconscious patterns and inner parts while staying grounded in practical tools for daily life.
Beyond clinical work, Lucas has spent over six years supporting retreats as a facilitator, translator, musician, and guardian. Recognized by his elder as a trusted person, he serves as a cultural bridge committed to responsibility, reciprocity, and respect for indigenous wisdom. His work is guided by self love, holistic health, nature based wisdom, community connection, and multicultural empowerment.
Lucas is supervised by Tim Moore, LPC.
